Tariq is a Cardiff based male Afro specialist hair stylist with over 15 years of experience.

Coming from a mixed background of Welsh, Egyptian, Somali and Jamaican has inspired him to be diverse in all hair types and textures, but he has been noticed especially for his work with afro hair, being named Hairdressers Journal UK Afro Barber of the Year 2016, and Men’s Hairdressing Federation / City and Guilds Afro Barber of the Year 2020.

Tariq is also a brand ambassador and content creator for Electrical mega brand Babyliss. Tariq has worked on some of the biggest stages in hairdressing and barbering including Hairdressers Journal Live and the Fellowship Stage. He has also worked back stage at London, Paris, Miami and Milan fashion week for brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, A-Cold-Wall, Daniel Fletcher, Vetements, VTMENTS, JordanLuca and Per Götesson.

Tariq has also worked on photo shoots for fashion magazines such as GQ, 9oo10Magazine, Man about Town, The Sunday Times Style and D-section. He's groomed faces such as Tosin Cole, Louis Culture, Lucien Laviscount, Wes Nelson and Munya Chawawa.

One of his favourite shoots would be with GQ STYLE, that saw him working closely with Elgar Johnson the Deputy Fashion Editor of the magazine on a hair story feature called Every Little Step that celebrates afro hair.
